Facelifts take the Years Off with Little Recovery Time

When it comes to turning back the clock, there's really no better way to fool Father Time than a facelift.

"Women and men can easily take 10 to 15 years off their face," says Dr. Justin Heller of Heller Plastic Surgery in Valencia. "This is a procedure that, when done right, leaves you looking like 'you,' just a younger, more vibrant 'you!'"
In Doctor Heller's practice, the look is also incredibly natural. "There's a real difference in how I perform this surgery," explains the board-certified physician. "I address the layer of tissue beneath the skin, engaging the micro-muscles and fat in a way that brings it back to its younger state. When you operate at the level of the membrane where fat is supported, and you bring that youthful-looking fat up and away from where it descended with time, the result is very natural looking and flattering."

The surgeon utilizes fat grafts, taken from a minimally-invasive liposuction procedure, to fill in any areas that are left hollow. "There's often a loss of volume at the temples, the tear-trough area, the cheek folds, and over the cheek bones - this is where using your own tissue really makes a big difference. You're not dependent on synthetic fillers and the results are permanent. Plus, thanks to the healing and growth-promoting properties of the newly-introduced fat cells, your surface-layer skin will improve, too. Patients report a reduction in pore size and smoother texture," says Dr. Heller.

The scars are only perceptible to a highly-trained eye. "They're hidden around your ears or in your hairline. They won't widen because there's no tension on the skin using my methodology. They fade away over time, too, making them nearly invisible," he explains.
Heller Plastic Surgery is located in the Atrium Building next to City Hall in Valencia. The comfortable, well-appointed office is now accepting patients and scheduling complimentary consultations. 661-233-4949

Ask Dr. Heller
Q: I want the results of a facelift - but I don't have a high pain tolerance. I'm worried that I'll be miserable. What do you think?

The presumption is that facelifts can require painful, lengthy recoveries. That's not true, especially with my minimally-invasive method that engages the tissue underneath the skin. Facelifts are actually one of the most tolerated procedures. While every patient is different, the most common symptom is a simple headache. Your sutures will be out in about a week, two at the most. You'll be able to return to all your daily activities within a two-week time frame. It's really a very small price to pay to see your jowls disappear - and your appearance to look significantly younger... permanently!
