Get, and stay, organized. If you don't have a wedding coordinator in place to keep you on track, you should remember to reconnect with your contracted vendors about two weeks before your wedding. It is important that all required payments are handled so you aren't dealing with that on your wedding day. Go over the details of your wedding day with everyone involved. E-mails and phone calls are easily forgotten so it's best to meet with everyone, sit them down, and make sure they take detailed notes about what's important to you.

Talk to your family before the wedding day. Always remember that getting married is emotional for everyone involved. Take time to personally include your family in the wedding planning process; it will make your wedding day easier if they know what to expect and what is expected of them.

Create a bride's emergency kit. Include sewing materials, tape, lipstick, powder, deodorant, perfume, tissue and Tylenol, just in case.

Be punctual. Your guests came from near and far to see you on your wedding day. Running late and keeping your guests waiting is not polite.

Greet all your guests. Make an effort to have a brief conversation with each and every person. They are there to celebrate your marriage. Give them the common courtesy of thanking them for coming to your wedding. Leaving early is not an option.
