Summer Makeup & Skincare
Summer is here and now is the time to change your makeup and skincare routine. Here are some suggestions to revive and maintain the natural beauty of your complexion during the next few hot summer months.

Always, always, always wear sunscreen, or a moisturizer, with a SPF of at least 40. My all-time favorite is by Solar Protection. It has a SPF of 58, dries clear and is oil and fragrance free. After you apply it, your foundation or tinted moisturizer will glide on and give you a smooth, clean finish.

Don't forget your Vitamin C Serum. The best one I have found is Transderma C made by Pro Bios Laboratories Inc. Vitamin C helps repair sun-damaged skin and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and freckles.

Lighten up your summer face makeup. You can substitute tinted moisturizer for foundation. The sheer formulas look and feel lighter on the skin, meaning you're less likely to get that "cakey" look. You can also use mineral makeup, since they always look and feel lighter on the skin.

If you want a healthy summer glow, sweep on a shimmery golden bronzer. Powder bronzers are the easiest to apply. The bronzers that have varying shades, that you can mix together, yield the best results. They are best applied with a full makeup brush over your forehead, cheekbones, chin and nose. If you are wearing your hair up, remember to brush over your ears and the back of your neck. You can also apply to shoulders and decolletage for a shimmer effect when wearing a sundress or tank top.

For longer lasting eye makeup, apply a dab of concealer and pressed powder to your eyelids. This will help "set" your eye makeup and remove excess oils that may cause creasing. For daytime, use natural colors to enhance your eyes; feel free to play with shadows with shimmer in it. For night, be daring and play with lots of color and make it fun. For mascara, make sure it's waterproof - you never know when you might end up at the pool or spa.

For lips, light colors in mauve, rose and pink are great for summer. Colored lip glosses with shimmer look great to compliment a natural summer look.
