Broken Nose from Poorly-made Cabinetry $475,000 Settlement at Mediation

An employee was struck on the face by a cabinet that fell off the wall it was attached to while she was sitting down at her desk. She suffered a broken nose, requiring surgery; the injury also aggravated preexisting injuries to her neck, requiring surgery two-and-a-half years after the accident. Apportionment was a big issue and extensive litigation and discovery were performed.

Fireworks Malfunction Confidential Settlement
A client suffered injuries from a fireworks malfunction on July 4th. The liability was disputed, but it was successfully proved and the client's case was maximized to a confidential amount.

Rear-End Accident with Neck Injuries $250,000 Settlement Offer
Rear-end accident with minimal impact and minor property damage to the cars. Client suffered a neck injury requiring surgery. The insurance company offered $8,000. A lawsuit was filed and an extensive discovery was conducted. The insurance company increased its offer to $20,000. Experts were hired to prove that the impact caused the client's neck injuries. It went to mediation and the insurance company increased its offer to $150,000. The offer was rejected. The insurance company has finally offered to pay its policy limit of $250,000.
