Please Help the Senior Center!
As a result of increasing demand and economic factors, the Senior Center is on the verge of establishing a home-delivered meals waiting list for the first time in the 30-year history of the Center's home-delivered meals program. For many of the homebound seniors who are served by the home-delivered meals program, it is the only hot meal they receive each day.
They need your support to help ensure that no call goes unanswered, and no senior in the Santa Clarita Valley is left alone and hungry. Please visit www.scvseniorfoundation.org, where you can find information about efforts to raise funds for the SCV Senior Center and its programs. You can also make a secure donation directly through the website.

They believe in empowering victims to overcome domestic violence. The Center provides round-the-clock shelter and counseling with professionalism and compassion to families in crisis due to violence in the home. Staff works with victims as liaisons in the court system, law enforcement and all public agencies. The goal is to raise public awareness of physical, emotional and sexual abuse in relationships in order to eliminate the cycle of violence.

Got Food?
Summer is a notoriously slow donation time for food pantries across the country, but demand often rises once children are at home full time for their long vacation. The pained economy has caused an increase in demand across the nation, as well.
Please help ensure that no child in Santa Clarita goes to bed hungry. The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry could not exist without the support of the community and volunteers. They are always in need of non-perishable foods, especially high-protein items like peanut butter; canned meats and fish; and beans (canned or uncooked) - but every food donation is appreciated! Monetary donations are also gladly accepted. Checks can be mailed to: Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry, 24133 Railroad Avenue, Newhall, 91321; 255-9078
