•  A Few Good Men - The Repertory East Playhouse will open the 2007 Season with the courtroom drama, A Few Good Men, sponsored by Cinema 4 Productions. This Broadway hit about the trial of two Marines for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay sizzles on stage. The Navy lawyer, a callow young man more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover up of what really happened. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine Corps code of honor on trial. A Few Good Men stars a powerhouse cast of professional actors. Leading the charge is the REP's Artistic Director Ovington Michael Owston, Daniel Lench, Bill Quinn, Phillip Peck and Ransom Boynton. Kristen Paige once again commands the stage of the REP as the only female cast member. Other cast members include CTG favorites Ed Hill, Jeff Hyde, Marlowe Weisman and Michael Collins, as well as Damien D'Entremont, Mikee Schwinn, and newcomers Derek Smith and Johnny Schwinn. A Few Good Men was written by Aaron Sorkin, best known for TheWest Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and won the Outer Critics Award. A Few Good Men was later made into a Hollywood blockbuster starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore. Performances will run Fridays, Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm beginning January 19 through February 17, 2007. (There is NO SHOW Sunday February 4th)Tickets are $17 for Adults and $15 for Students and Seniors. To purchase tickets Call 661-288-0000 or purchase on-line at www.repeastplayhouse.org.
