During his chemotherapy treatments, his mother Cassandra was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This courageous family then battled their insurance company, striving to get stem-cell treatments for Michael. Their appeals went unheard and now the community has come together to raise the $18,000 needed for what could be the miracle they have prayed for. The event, held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., will feature a poker tournament, clothing boutique, jewelry, food, games and a DJ with lots of fun for the kids, plus a photo booth by Jack and Pam Lillian.
