Visiting Angels Hosts National Memory Screening Day - Visiting Angels is hosting National Memory Screening Day in cooperation with the Alzheimers Foundation of America by offering memory screenings in the Valencia office. Individuals who have concerns about memory loss are encouraged to be screened in the hopes that causes of memory issues can be detected early for more effective intervention. The memory screening takes about five minutes and is a simple evaluation tool that checks memory and other thinking skills. Although it does not diagnose Alzheimer's Disease or other dementia, a memory screening can indicate if an additional check up by a qualified healthcare professional is needed. The results are kept completely confidential. Visiting Angels is offering these free memory screenings as a service to the community.
