•  Innovation Show Choir Grand Opening Celebration - The Innovation Show Choir, southern California's leading community-based youth performing ensemble, has opened its doors to a brand-new studio space at the Westfield Valencia Town Center in Valencia, California. They are hosting a grand opening celebration that is open to the public featuring student performances, raffles and refreshments.

•  SCAA Art Classic Live Event - The Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA) will host the 2021 Art Classic with free admission at Mercedes-Benz of Valencia. with almost 90 pieces of artwork, featuring 46 of members. The awards ceremony will include the Santa Clarita 'Art in Excellence' award with dignitaries from the city presenting. There will also be a raffle to raise money for our high school scholarship fund. Light refreshments will be served.

•  Veterans Day Ceremony - City of Santa Clarita Hosts the Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Historical Plaza in Old Town Newhall starts at 11am. Join in to honor the lives and sacrifices of our veterans past and present and our active military. The ceremony includes musical performers, speakers and the changing of the flags.

Saturday, November 13

•  Sugar Daddy Marathon, Kids Fun Run, 5K, 10K & Half Marathon - Runners get to enjoy the best of Santa Clarita's awesome paths and paseos taking runners on a spectacular tour around the Santa Clarita Valley on a very fast course. All runners get to make the final push into finish line to run across the historic 120-year old Iron Horse bridge, making for a landmark race finish. The Sugar Daddy Race is for everyone, runners, walkers, hikers, there is even a Kids Fun Run for the little ones to get active and healthy to experience a race. In addition to earning an awesome medal, Sugar Daddy finishers will get a special ice cream treat to help cool them off after finishing the race.

•  Make Dreams a Reality Fashion Show - Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley (SIGSCV) will be strutting down the catwalk once again at their 10th Annual Fashion Show and Boutique. The theme this year is "Making Dreams a Reality." The organization will honor stars from Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital who have been the community's front liners throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.This year's fashion show will also include a segment that will highlight the organizations' "Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women" and "Dream It, Be It: Career Support for Girls Programs." Soroptimist's Live Your Dream Awards Program is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. It gives women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects.

•  Miracle on 34th Street - Canyon Theatre Guild Presents "Miracle on 34th Street"
In this Christmas classic, an old man going by the name of Kris Kringle fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy's annual Thanksgiving Day parade. Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the chain's main store in midtown Manhattan. When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming that he really is Santa Claus, it leads to a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity.

•  Festival of Trees - Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club presents "Festival of Trees" Enjoy the Magic of the Lights Gala with a live auction of large trees, a vast array of silent auction decorated trees beautifully themed and sometimes with notes of whimsy and a village of gingerbread houses built with love for bidding.

•  Jacob Zamora Sporting Clay Shoot & Raffle - Oak Tree Gun Club and the Jacob Zamora Memorial Foundation will host the 18th annual Jacob Anthony Zamora Memorial Sporting Clay Shoot and Raffle at the Oak Tree Gun Club, on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and is open to all interested participants. There will be a prize for the top shooter. Registrants will also receive a T-shirt and lunch. •  Light Up Main Street - Light Up Main will be back again this year - and bigger and brighter than ever. The event kicks off with the tree lighting, in front of the Old Town Newhall Library. This year's event will have live holiday entertainment on the main stage, festive activities for the whole family, shopping at the Fine Craft Show, food trucks, the chance to take photos with Santa himself and snow! Make sure you leave time to admire the holiday decor that is up and down Main Street. There are a variety of decorative light structures that give you a one-of-a-kind opportunity for Instagram-worthy holiday photos. These include a giant ribbon arch welcoming visitors to the area, as well as a 6-foot-tall selfie frame.
