12th Annual KHTS Home & Garden Show, KHTS Emergency Expo & Craft Fair - The largest trade show in Santa Clarita will be happening on Saturday and Sunday, April 29 and April 30 at Central Park as the KHTS Home & Garden Show and KHTS Emergency Expo & Craft Fair is unveiled. Admission is free to the public for all activities. Visitors can climb aboard a fire truck, hit the siren on a sheriff patrol vehicle, watch a Jaws of Life demonstration by the LA County Fire Department and more. Homeowners will discover design, decorating and innovations while connecting with top SCV home-and-garden experts. Everyone will love shopping local crafts - and don't forget to check out the classic cars brought on site by the Corvette Club on Sunday. The KHTS Emergency Expo will be happening all day Saturday from 10am to 5pm in conjunction with the KHTS Home and Garden Show. There'll be many exciting demonstrations from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Southern California Edison, City of Hope, Southern California Gas Company, California Highway Patrol, the Santa Clarita Sheriffs, Southern California Edison, the City of Santa Clarita and more emergency and safety businesses and organizations. Show times are Saturday, April 29 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, April 30 from 10am to 4pm. The Emergency Expo is held Saturday only, but many Emergency vendors will also be displaying and selling their products and services on Sunday, as well. Vendor opportunities are still available.

Free To Be Me Festival - This FREE community event celebrates our special needs community and their families through a series of inclusive and adaptive activities. Enjoy live sensory-friendly entertainment, arts and crafts, recreational activities, sensory play and more. A chill zone will also be available for those that need a calming space. The event is held outdoors with an indoor sensory safe space. A select number of headphones will be available for check out. Sign language interpreters will be at the stage. College of the Canyons' Annual Women's Conference - Held at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center, this year's in-person conference will feature an exciting lineup of presenters and breakout sessions designed around the theme, "Think Big, Speak Up!" The event will kick off with a welcome by Chancellor Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook followed by a leadership panel featuring Councilwoman Katrina Manning and Treasurer Marie Poindexter-Hornback from the City of Hawthorne. When elected in 2022, Manning and Poindexter-Hornback - along with City Clerk Dayna Williams-Hunter - made Hawthorne history as the first three women of color to be elected during the same election cycle in the city's 100-year history. Luncheon keynote speeches will be delivered by Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo (D-Chatsworth) and Hildy Aguinaldo, senior director and assistant general counsel at DaVita Inc. and vice president of the board of governors for California Community Colleges. Attendees will also attend breakout sessions throughout the day covering a wide range of topics, like returning to college, career changes, exploring passions and a health and wellness workshop. Admission is $35 - $25 for students and college staff with identification. Admission includes access to all events and activities and breakfast and lunch.

Youth Arts Showcase - In recognition of Youth Art Month, the City of Santa Clarita Youth Arts Showcase celebrates the importance of visual and performing arts for children of all ages.
