•  Hazardous & E-Waste Recycling - afely dispose of your household hazardous waste (HHW) and Electronic Waste (E-waste) for FREE on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the College of the Canyons (26455 Rockwell Canyon Rd). This event is open and free to all Los Angeles County residents. Business waste is not accepted at these events.

Some items that are eligible for disposal are paint, batteries, fluorescent light tubes, CFL bulbs, vehicle fluids, cleaners, solvents, pesticides and electronics. For a complete list of acceptable and unacceptable items, refer to LA County's HHW Guide.

•  Jingle Fest 23 - Kick start your holidays with Santa Clarita's biggest, jolliest holiday shopping event, Jingle Fest '23, hosted by Strawberry & Fig. This free family event takes place on Veterans Day, November 11 at Central Park from 10am to 5pm, rain or shine. Shop local with over 250 artisans, crafters and vendors selling everything under the mistletoe, from unique handmade pottery, Christmas decor, wood items, artwork, candles, jewelry, women's and children's clothing and so much more. Then get your jingle bells rockin' on the dance floor with music by DJ Josh Kelly, followed by Santa Clarita's very own Modern Country band, Rebel Heart. Bring your own chairs and grab a great spot by the stage!

•   Light Up Main Street - The City of Santa Clarita Hosts Light Up Main Street, bring your friends and family to experience the lighting of the 25-foot Christmas tree featuring thousands of lights. The fun is followed by an evening of entertainment and holiday cheer in Old Town Newhall with real snow, crafts, festive performances, shopping, pictures with Santa and more.

•  Jacob Anthony Zamora Memorial Sporting Clay Shoot - In the last decade, the Jacob Zamora Memorial Foundation has awarded over $70,000 in college scholarships to SCV high school seniors. On November 18, help raise funds for our community's CHP Explorer Program, local scholarships for SCV high school students and support for families coping with tragedies. In Jacob Zamora's short but remarkable life, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and dreamed of becoming a CHP officer. His family and friends are grateful for your support in helping dedicated students achieve their goals.

•  Elf: The Musical - Canyon Theatre Guild kicks off the holiday season with "Elf: The Musical" starting November 24. •  Holiday Home Tour Gala & Boutique - "Unwrap the Magic of the Season" with Holiday Home Tour, a cherished tradition of the Home Tour League, raising funds for Henry Mayo's Center for Women and Newborns & The Kim & Steven Ullman NICU. Attendees have the opportunity to view selected Santa Clarita Valley homes that are professionally and thematically decorated for the holiday season.
