They say that necessity is the mother of invention - and COVID-19 has certainly laid the foundation for numerous adaptations, revisions and updates to some of City of Santa Clarita's most noteworthy events.
Something we're excited to see on the schedule is the 2020 Neighborhood Cleanup & Online Environmental Expo! Taking the place of the City's annual River Rally, which draws hundreds of volunteers together, this feel-good event allows residents the opportunity to clean up and care for their neighborhood in a safe and positive way.
Held on Saturday, September 26, the Neighborhood Cleanup invites the community to maintain the health and beauty of their neighborhoods while having fun! Participants can look forward to a fun day outdoors picking up litter, challenging themselves with a scavenger hunt and learning from a series of educational videos at the Online Environmental Expo that can be watched from the comfort of your own home!

Online Environmental Expo Works

Step 5
After a fun day giving back to your community with your family, visit GreenSantaClarita.com to watch a short series of educational videos from the City's environmental experts.
Don't Forget!
• Wear a face covering and maintain social distancing while visiting drive-thru stations and picking up litter.
• Throw collected litter in designated trash bins at home.
• Do NOT enter the Santa Clara Riverbed to pick up waste. Please pick up trash in safe and appropriate areas surrounding your residence.
