Celebrate the Magic of the Season with Boys & Girls Club's Festival of Trees
November, 2015 - Issue #133
Festival of Trees is a sight to behold - you'll be wowed by the sheer quantity of sparkle and spirit. "This is one of those events that you remember for the rest of your life," says President of the Boys & Girls Club's Foundation and President Elect of the Governing Board Wayne Crawford. "Everyone - from the very young to our seniors - smiles from the moment they walk through the doors. The holiday spirit is contagious at Festival. You just can't help but find it magical."

Also magical: how this SCV-mainstay event helps fund the Boys & Girls Club's vital work. "This event, along with our annual auction, is how we pay for the vast majority of our operating expenses," says Crawford. "Festival of Trees keeps our doors open and ensures that we can hire high-quality staff who are committed to making a difference in the lives of Santa Clarita's children."

"I'm excited to see how the dozens and dozens of 'elves' who set up FESTIVAL each year put this venue to its best use,"
Wayne Crawford
This year the event will be held centrally at the City of Santa Clarita's Sports Complex. "This is a really convenient location," explains Crawford, "We've used it once before with great success and I'm excited to see how the dozens and dozens of 'elves' who set up Festival each year put this venue to its best use. This is going to be a wonderful Festival - I can't wait to see everyone there!"

GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE SCV
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Story

The Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club's Festival of Trees is almost here (November 19 to 22). Now is the time for the community to rally together and "give where you live." The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley has made a difference in the lives of local youth since 1968.

With two locations, the club provides services to nearly 2,400 local young people ages 7 to 17 with quality year-round and after-school programs focused on education, career development, character, leadership, health, fitness, sports, recreation and the arts. Through your continued generosity, the Boys & Girls Club will continue to build a brighter future for the children of the Santa Clarita Valley. The need is great and the return on your investment... priceless. Be one of many to make a difference to put a child on a path to a great future. Plan to attend this year's Festival of Trees or consider making a year-end donation to the Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club at www.scvbgc.org.
