GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE SCV
The Hope of the Valley Story

"Where there's hope, there's life. It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again," said Anne Frank in the timeless classic, "The Diary of a Young Girl." At Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, the goal is to meet the needs of the "whole" person - spiritually, emotionally and physically. Its mission is to attract people and resources to assist in the effort of meeting the needs of every hungry and homeless man, woman and child in the greater Los Angeles area. Annually, the nonprofit provides over 207,000 meals and 61,000 nights of shelter. While Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission is the only rescue mission headquartered in the San Fernando Valley, there is a Santa Clarita connection. The organization opened a thrift store in Canyon Country. Whether searching for bargains or looking for a place to donate gently-used clothing and small household goods that benefit the local community, Hope of the Valley Thrift Store on Soledad Canyon Road is a welcome addition to the area.
