Holiday Home Tour's 'Winter Wonderland' Wows!
December, 2019 - Issue #183

It's that time of year again - the Holiday Home Tour is coming to town! This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, December 7 and features a tour of three local homes, a holiday boutique and a preview gala. A cherished tradition in Santa Clarita for more than three decades, the event attracts people from near and far who love the excitement and novelty of the holiday season. Spectators will view beautifully-decorated homes crafted by the most talented, imaginative interior designers.

This year's theme is "Winter Wonderland" and will feature three professionally-decorated homes located in the Sand Canyon area of Santa Clarita. Homeowners Brian Felkel and Rebecca Raymond; Raul and Sandra Sandoval; and Angelica Leon and Ray Mirzakhanian are all working with their talented interior designers to create the perfect holiday tour.

Each of the homes will reflect the distinct character of the homeowners. Bernard Underwood of An Intimate Place B.U. Designs is bringing, "The Wonders of Christmas" to the Felkel/Raymond Family home with a mix of traditional burgundy ribbons, gold ornaments and modern designs of wonderland white and sleek-silver decor. Nina del Valle of Superior Design is telling the Sandoval's story of, "What Christmas Means to Me," using deep reds, silvers, golds and coppers in a traditional design with a Mediterranean Flair. An "Enchanting Country Christmas" will be on display at the Leon/Mirzakhanian home, courtesy of Courtney Michaels of CM Interiors, who will be featuring traditional and contemporary ideas. A variety of trees, each with its own spectacular piece of art, will be featured.

Hosted by the Holiday Home Tour League, funds raised are designated for the Center for Women and Newborns, opening soon in the New Patient Tower at Henry Mayo.

Holiday Home Tour takes place on Saturday, December 7 from 9:30am to 4:30pm. On the same day, The Holiday Boutique, on the hospital campus, is open 9am to 4pm and features a wide array of holiday decor, gifts and food. General tickets may be purchased at henrymayogiving.com/tour. Tickets may be purchased for the Preview Gala on Friday, December 6, from 6:30pm to 10pm. Homes are open from 5pm to 7pm for viewing on Gala eve. Gala tickets may be purchased for $150 at henrymayogiving.com/gala. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to be inspired and filled with holiday home spirit!

The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley Story

It's the most wonderful time of the year and now is the perfect time to catch the holiday spirit with the Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club's "Festival of Trees" November 21 to November 24 at the Valencia Town Center. Why support the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley? Because there's no greater path for a child to take than the right one. For nearly 2,400 local young people ages 7 to 17 that path begins at the Santa Clarita Valley Boys & Girls Club, a place where they learn and grow. With two locations, the club provides tutoring and homework help, daily programming geared toward academics, healthy lifestyles, character and leadership development, along with a variety of art and technology programs. Through your generosity, the Boys & Girls Club will continue to build a brighter future for the children of the Santa Clarita Valley. Look forward to seeing the community at the Festival of Trees!
