SCV Man & Woman of the Year is May 3
Celebrating Santa Clarita Volunteers & the Nonprofits they Serve
The SCV Man & Woman of the Year organization has excitedly announced the 2024 nominees for Santa Clarita Valley Man & Woman of the Year.
A total of 34 dedicated volunteers have been nominated from local nonprofits - all organizations that have directly benefited from the generous investment of the nominees' time and talents.
Since its founding, the Santa Clarita Valley has been blessed by volunteers who have made our community a great place to live. Those special volunteers have been honored annually as SCV's Man or Woman of the Year since 1964.
This year, two deserving nominees will be awarded the coveted titles of 2024 Man and Woman of Year at a gala dinner on May 3.

GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE
Child & Family Center Taste of the Town
For more than 40 years, the Child and Family Center has been providing fundamental care and support to children and families in need. Their mission focuses on empowering families today for a better tomorrow, leading to stronger and more resilient communities. The Center offers a range of essential services, including mental health support, alcohol and drug treatment and assistance for those impacted by domestic violence.
The upcoming Taste of the Town event, a beloved outdoor food and wine festival in Santa Clarita, is scheduled to take place on May 5. This event brings together local restaurants to showcase their culinary creations, alongside auctions and entertainment, all set against the backdrop of the beautiful Blomgren Ranch.
The 35th Annual Taste of the Town serves as the primary fundraiser for the Child and Family Center, supporting the work of therapists and case managers who assist over 1,200 individuals - children, teens, and families - facing mental health challenges, substance abuse and domestic violence. Your participation in this event directly contributes to sustaining these vital services and promoting healing within the community.
Mission Valley Bank is proud to support the Child & Family Center. Join your community at Taste of the Town to make a difference and help create a brighter future for all.
