Q: The Fourth of July is almost here! How does Santa Clarita celebrate the red, white and blue?
Fourth of July brings our community together for a day packed with excitement and celebration. The festivities kick off with the Independence Day Classic 5K and 10K, hosted by the Santa Clarita Runners. Everyone can join in the fun, with options like the Kids K and Senior Walk for the young and the young-at-heart. At 9am, the hometown-favorite Santa Clarita Fourth of July Parade takes over Old Town Newhall. Spectators line the streets, marveling at the creative floats and entries from our community. This year's theme is "The Freedom to Play: Celebrating our Parks, Trails and Open Space." As the day turns into night, gather around the Valencia Town Center for a spectacular fireworks display. Tune into KHTS AM 1220 for a live soundtrack that perfectly accompanies the dazzling explosions in the sky. Celebrate with us and make this Fourth of July unforgettable!
