In response to the unprecedented fires in Los Angeles, Carousel Ranch has delayed the launch of the Carousel Wishes & Valentine's Kisses campaign until February 10. The campaign will now conclude mid March. Information will be updated below.
The entire Ranch community sends their love and support to all those affected by the fires.
Through February, donations to Carousel Ranch will grow twice as big, thanks to a generous matching donation: up to $25,000 from Wayne and Dianne Crawford. That means your $25 online donation will become $50 - and so on!
Make your doubly-kind donation today - and learn how to support the Ranch around town in February by visiting carouselranch.org/carousel-wishes.
Plus, you can help kick off this year's campaign by joining the CR community for their Pancake Breakfast & Open House on Saturday, February 1 from 10am to 1pm at Carousel Ranch. This is a family friendly and free event where guests will enjoy delicious pancakes made and served by Carousel's Ready to Work students, tours of the Ranch and fun activities, raffle prizes and more.
MEET ABRAM
Abram and his twin sister were born two months early. A minute after Abram was born, his lung collapsed and he did not breathe for a few minutes. The lack of oxygen to his brain caused damage that now translates into his diagnosis of cerebral palsy.
"Being at Carousel Ranch truly feels like being part of a large, loving family. Abram is loving riding his horse and looks forward to his weekly sessions. Horseback riding is strengthening Abram's core, increasing his trunk control and is facilitating the use of both of his hands. Abram has become very attached to 'his' horse and talks about her daily. It is clear to see that he has a great love for horses and riding them. Our family loves being part of the Carousel Ranch family and we look forward to being here for many, many years to come." "The RTW program reinforced skills necessary to be successful in the workplace. This program has given Rebecca self confidence, self esteem and the mindset to know that she can do anything if she works hard and has a good attitude. We are so grateful to Carousel Ranch for the unique opportunity that they offer to young adults in our community."

MEET REBECCA
Rebecca Lopez, a Carousel Ranch student who began with the Ready to Work program after high school. Rebecca attended RTW level 1 and level 2, learning basic skills such as teamwork, communication and interacting with others. She also learned how to use a cash register at the Tack Shack where she sold RTW merchandise. She later advanced to the RTW Academy at College of the Canyons where she advanced her job skills by completing internships.
Says Rebecca's mom, Christina: "The RTW program reinforced skills necessary to be successful in the workplace. We are so grateful to Carousel Ranch for the unique opportunity that they offer to young adults in our community. As parents, we are so proud of Rebecca and all that she has accomplished with the support of the staff at Carousel Ranch. They truly make a difference!" This is the magic of Carousel Ranch.
