Annual Sierra Pelona Wine Festival at Reyes Winery Benefits SCV Zonta Club
Mark your calendars for April 4 - because you won't want to miss the 8th Annual Sierra Pelona Valley AVA Wine Festival at Reyes Winery on Sierra Highway. A community favorite, the event will showcase nearly 175 wines from over 35 local wineries - plus breweries, cider and spirits, as well as live music and food from more than 20 gourmet food companies. Stroll, sip and nosh while taking in the handcrafts created by local artists and enjoy a live auction and an opportunity raffle to help raise money for SCV Zonta Club.

Zonta Celebrates 100 Years
One hundred years ago, a small group of pioneering women came together in Buffalo, New York with a vision to help all women realize greater equality while using their individual and collective expertise in service to their community. Their vision became Zonta International, an organization that has grown to more than 29,000 members in 63 countries, working together to make gender equality a reality for women and girls worldwide.

The Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley brings these elements of service, advocacy and awareness of their international mission to life in ways that directly serve our community, providing hands-on service delivery while funding the work, dreams and goals of others to improve the lives of women. Their members find the right niche to meet their interests, time commitment and financial support. Along the way, our community and world benefit from their efforts. They offer several scholarships and community grants to women and girls in the Santa Clarita Valley. Plus, they have many service projects to better the lives of women and girls, like "girl's robotics" at the Boys and Girls Club and LifeForward, a monthly workshop to give awareness and life-building skills to women.

GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE SCV
"Carousel Wishes & Valentine Kisses"

Meet one of Carousel Ranch's riders, Caiden, a 3-year-old with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia - he's legally blind - and cerebral palsy. He is also non-verbal, developmentally delayed and has sensory sensitivities. "Carousel Ranch exceeds my expectations," writes Allison Wathen. "My son has only been at the Ranch for a few months now, but the progress has been unbelievable. Not only has Caiden made physical improvements in core strength and balance since he started riding, but sensory and cognitive advancements, as well. Caiden has developed better balance and now has the confidence to start taking steps." Being on a horse gives a completely different workout using different muscles than what a traditional clinic therapy offers. "In already such a short time frame Carousel Ranch means so much to our family and is something we look forward to every week." This is the magic of Carousel Ranch.

Each year many children with special needs wait for the opportunity to improve their health and experience life at Carousel Ranch. The ranch is growing to serve more children and you can help them reach this goal by supporting their "Carousel Wishes & Valentine Kisses" annual giving campaign. You can double the love thanks to the very generous offer by long-time ranch supporters Wayne and Dianne Crawford to match every dollar raised - up to $30,000. That means every $10, $50, $100 and $500 donation becomes $20, $100, $200 and $1,000 for Carousel Ranch! Please consider changing a life through the priceless gift of therapy by donating today. carouselranch.org
