Good Neighbor Pharmacy (GNP) and the Institute for Community Pharmacy (ICP) are the proud sponsors of the ninth-annual GNP/ICP Scholarship Golf Classic at Robinson Ranch Golf Club on June 8.
Proceeds from this tournament benefit the GNP/ICP Scholarship Fund, which aids pharmacy students at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and Western University School of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy. Essential scholarship funds are provided to students who are pursuing careers as independent community pharmacists. Started in 2003, the tournament has raised over $1 million to fund the scholarships and has also created an endowment of $25,000 at USC School of Pharmacy and at Western University School of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy.
Players will enjoy the USC Trojan Traveling Band, a chance to win a car (sponsored by Valencia Acura) and participate in the Hole in One and Longest Drive contests. There will be silent auction items, a live auction and raffle prizes.

Good Neighbor Pharmacy Announces
Sponsorship of PGA Tour Player Jason Gore
Jason Gore, a graduate of Hart High School, resident of Valencia and PGA golfer, has joined the Good Neighbor Pharmacy (GNP) family. Gore's 2011 tour proudly boasts a new addition: the GNP logo.
Mike Quick, lead vice president of retail for AmerisourceBergen, was originally drawn to Gore because of the golfer's dedication to local charities - including Carousel Ranch. (Incidentally, Quick was nominated for SCV Man of the Year by the equestrian-therapy organization.) Says Quick: "This is a wonderful opportunity for Good Neighbor Pharmacy. It's truly an honest endorsement."
As for Gore, the pro golfer, and dedicated husband and father, says, "I'm so honored to be a part of the GNP family."
GNP Wellness Day "Thank You"
Local GNP pharmacists and staff want to say "thank you" to everyone who assisted with or attended Good Neighbor Pharmacy of SCV's Wellness Days on April 28 and 29. The "Good Neighbors" were able to provide over 100 free screenings. The free health screenings included osteoporosis and cardiovascular health. Attendees were also able to talk with representatives from the American Diabetes Association, Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center and Curves Gym. Good Neighbor Pharmacy continues to show their commitment to caring for our community through these preventative care events and their prescription assistance programs.
