For years, August was synonymous with "Heart of the West" in Santa Clarita. The signature fundraiser for the beloved equestrian-therapy organization, HOTW has raised over 4.5 million dollars to provide hands-on horseback treatments to children and young adults with diagnoses of cancer, MS, autism and more. Known for its Western theme and boot-stompin' energy, Heart of the West has drawn capacity crowds every year in recent history - and the organization hopes that 2020 isn't any different...
Except that this year, Heart of the West is going home.
"Guests will still be treated to our thematic Western table designs, delicious barbecue dinner, exciting auctions and sentimental children's demonstration on horseback - it just won't be on site on August 29," explains Executive Director Denise Redmond. "Instead, hosts across our valley will welcome a small group of guests to their homes - and many others will be celebrating Heart of the West privately with their families via Zoom and YouTube." The semi-virtual experience will be heavy on Western charm - and that signature sense of joy HOTW is known for. "This is going to raise spirits - you're going to smile all night," says Event Creator Jeanna Crawford. "Our kids can't wait to show off their skills and connect with their community supporters. We're all thrilled to be able to fundraise for the Ranch that means so much to so many local families."

How will I watch the children's demonstration?
Guests will experience the heartwarming horseback demonstration on Zoom or YouTube through the convenience of their television, tablet, computer or phone. Carousel Ranch's tech support is available now to ensure the perfect at-home experience.
Will there be an auction?
Yes! There will be both a live and silent auction held online.
You'll be able to bid directly from your phone on items like local restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, wine and more.
What does my event package include?
If you'd like to host a small viewing party at your home, you'll
be provided tables, thematic table settings, floral centerpiece,
photo-booth props, an appetizer platter and more. Your experience will be just as special as if you were at the Ranch itself!
What if I prefer to participate by myself?
You can and should! Meals are available locally at participating restaurants for pick up.
What else do I need to know?
From purchasing craft cocktails to hiring Salt Creek Grille
