It's time for
Michael Berger and
Diana Cusumano to switch their license plate holders. The two have been bestowed with the coveted title of
Man & Woman of the Year, complete with fancy-schmancy license plate holders declaring their new positions to all traffic passerby.
You may recall that
Inside SCV Magazine publishers
Jeanna and
Wayne Crawford were nominated for Man & Woman of the Year, as well. Now that Berger and Cusumano are out of the running for next year, we're ready to make our move. Until then, look for two Acuras driving around the SCV with "It was an Honor to be Nominated" scrawled on the back windows.
More congratulations are due for one of Santa Clarita's favorite couples. Wedding bells have rung for
Angela Ilich and beau
Michael Owston of the
Repertory East Playhouse (REP). The fun-loving pair honeymooned in Costa Rica.

SCV resident and
Zacky Farms Chickens relative
Hayden Zacky is running for Superior Court judge, office number 102. Elections are on June 6. Zacky currently works in the Lancaster court, where he prosecutes hard-core gang members for violent crimes. Yes, folks, we agree: seems that Mr. Zacky ain't no chicken. We wish him the best of luck.
Other breaking news:
Salt Creek Grille has officially added its
Philly Cheese Steak Pizza back to the menu. We know what you're thinking: "How is this newsworthy?" Here's our answer: It's not. But we're addicted, and we're thinking that this little plug might earn us a complimentary nibble. Don't judge us.

Gail Rocco-Mack is so excited about the grass-skirt festivity that she wanted us to publish her number so that you could call for more information - 263-2528. Hey, it's more effective than scribbling it on a bathroom wall.
