Don't consider us a keener for wanting to order up some poutine and two-four now that a Canadian has claimed the
Paseo Club's Inaugural Men's $50,000 Pro Challenger title, eh. Singles Champion
Frederic Neimeyer, who hails from our neighbor to the north, got chummy with Paseo Club owner
Steve McAvoy at the event sponsored by the
City of Santa Clarita. And for those of you who didn't get the Canadian-speak at the beginning of this paragraph, "keener" is a brown-noser, "poutine" is a chest-clenching dish comprised of french fries, gravy and cheese, and a "two-four" is a case of beer. Don't say we never taught you anything.

auction items for their annual event in June. The usual combination of yummy eats (thanks to
LA Trends Catering) and free drinks had the high-credit-scored folks among us pre-signing checks for items like laser eye surgery, a horse and (say it with us, "Price is Right"-style...) a new car!
The four-wheeled wanna-have item of the night was donated by the good people of the
Power Auto Group, represented at the event by Power Honda General Manager
Frank Pestano and President of Marketing
