Rihanna & Justin Timberlake |
Like the life-boat loading rules of the Titanic, we will chat about the famous people first (Sorry,
Tom Hough. You're well liked enough, but you've got about 22 more letters to climb until you make it to the D list.).
In the most exciting news to hit
Vasquez Rocks since the filming of the "Flintstones" way back when
John Goodman mattered, superstars
Rihanna and
Justin Timberlake took their most likely gold-lined umbrellas (if you don't get the joke, ask a teenager and consider upgrading from cassette tapes already) and lip synced another sure hit - "Rehab" - for the music video. And while many a reader may tune into MTV to sneak a peek at Timberlake straddling a rocket in one scene, clever viewers will look closely at the jewelry Rihanna is sporting. Her earrings and bracelet are designed by
Rebecca, a line that also claims
Pink as a fan, and that's sold locally at
Bella Jewelers.

Now to the little people...
Courtney Bourdas-Henn of
Mountasia and
Paul De la Cerda had an opportunity to be treated like the rich and sometimes famous at the
Loose Goose Wine Festival's Golden Goose Gala. Tom and
SCV Bank VP Kris Hough, along with
Brian Whiteley and
Karen Maleck-Whiteley of
Balance Point and
Amy and
Chris Boswell of
Oasis Garden & Patio, enjoyed the main festival held at Bridgeport Park.

Also out and about this month were the "almost famous"
Scott and
Susan Shepard of
Shepard Insurance. The couple was spotted by the paparazzi at the
COC President's Circle Dinner.
Inside SCV Magazine would like to take a moment to brag about the most famous person in our office.
Olive-Anne Haase (offspring of yours truly) claimed this title on October 20 when she entered this world at an impressive
10 pounds 6 ounces.
