Santa Clarita Regional Theatre's "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is a Vibrant Celebration of Song
Playing July 20 to August 11, "Joesph" will invite you to step back in time with to the Old Testament days! Santa Clarita Regional Theatre's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," playing at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons, features a highly-talented and energetic cast under the capable direction of Ingrid Boydston.

The musical brings life to the story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his 11 brothers to break the bond between Joseph and his father Jacob, who had given Joseph a prized coat of many colors.

Unbeknownst to Jacob, who thought his son was dead, Joseph then befriends an Egyptian noble named Potiphar. The plot thickens when Joseph rejects the romantic advances of Potiphar's wife and soon finds himself in jail. While imprisoned, Joseph realizes that he has an amazing capability to decipher dreams and is expected to help an all-powerful but very distraught Pharaoh solve a famine now plaguing Egypt. Can he do it? Better yet, will he ever reunite with his family?

With the assistance of a narrator, this beloved Broadway production, told solely through song, showcases the tunes of Andrew Lloyd Weber with lyrics written by Tim Rice. The music alone is sure to leave audiences - young and old alike - singing and dancing along in their seats.
Tickets start at $10 each and can be purchased online. canyontheatreguild.org/joseph
