Ages/times accommodated: 7 to 12 years old, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 7 to July 10 is "Theater Week." July 14 to July 17 covers acting, dancing and modeling.
What they'll do: Make summer fun by acting out their dreams! The Theater camp involves organizing into groups, learning a script, rehearsing and then performing in front of the class. A pizza party to celebrate will conclude this session. The Acting, Dancing and Modeling session will include instruction on hip-hop dance, modeling, TV, commercial audition techniques, on-camera direction, scene study and monologue practice, cold reads and improv. Pizza party celebration concludes this session.

Math Support ServicesAges/times accommodated: Programs run from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
What they can do: Take transferable math courses; participate in Junior High Readiness programs; experience fifth and sixth grade "Mathaletics;" 11th-graders can take a PSAT Preparation workshop to help them score big on the very important test that can qualify them for college scholarships! The school is WASC accredited. Academic enrichment is designed to prepare students for their upcoming math courses. Students can also get ahead by taking a math course that will transfer both credit and a grade to their junior or senior high school.

GymJam Day CampAges/times accommodated: 4 to 7 years - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 6 to 12 years - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 6 and 7 year olds have the option of doing half or full day.
What they'll do: Campers can improve on their existing gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling skills, or develop them for the first time, in a fun-filled environment. Some of the favorite activities the campers enjoy are Hide-N-Seek in the gym, obstacle courses through out the gym, and Perler Beads art projects.
Who they'll meet: Camp counselors are current and former athletes themselves who currently reside in the area, home from college for the summer or recent college graduates.
What they'll eat: Snack - like cheese, crackers and juice - is provided after their morning gym session and before they go to arts and crafts. Those who stay a full day bring their lunch.

Ages/times accommodated: Ages 6 to 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. - week-long sessions.
What they'll do: The campers learn how to safely tie, tack, groom, pick feet, ride and wash their horses. They'll experience formal lessons, trail rides and games on horseback, too. Junior High Summer Institute Offered through Community Education at College of the Canyons
Ages/times accommodated: Entering seventh and eighth grade students (11 to 14 years old). Held between June 16 and July 3. Camp hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though students may arrive as early as 8 a.m. and stay as late as 5:30 p.m. at no extra cost. The extended hour includes the "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens," facilitated by Junior Achievement.
What they can do: There are four tracks to choose from: Art (paint, draw, 2D and 3D, photo); Theatre (all aspects - culminates with a final performance); Film (write, produce, shoot and edit a film); Science (gaming, experiments, DNA, CSI lab).
Who they'll meet: Students will meet experts in a given field of study; most instructors are COC faculty, though the curriculum is age appropriate. Students will experience a college environment and leave with an idea of how their experience may equate to a career option.
