CANYON THEATRE GUILD SUMMER WORKSHOPS ROCK!
Kids Learn Theatre in a 280 Seat Working Theatre
May, 2014 - Issue #115
This summer, the Canyon Theatre Guild will once again offer an array of Summer Youth Workshops for youth ages 7 to 17. The desire to create can be a powerful thing for a child. For a child interested in learning theatre and the art of acting, it's important that they have a quality, hands-on educational experience. There's something about learning theatre on a real stage... under the lights. There's something about being given high expectations and having an experienced and supportive team behind you. There's something about becoming a part of the story of a vibrant, working theatre with a wonderful and robust history and future. The Canyon Theatre Guild (CTG) is one of those special places and their summer program for youth of all ages provides that experience for a child.

The CTG Summer Youth Workshops deliver a comprehensive, quality education in basic theatre concepts and practical involvement theatrical productions, taught by professional actors, directors and teachers in a fun and inclusive setting! The CTG stage is large and professional, with a 280 seat house. Best of all, tuition prices are surprisingly low for the level of training that youth experience there. Mike Davies, CTG Instructor says, "The skills that students learn here: commitment, responsibility, self-confidence, and being a successful member of a team -- they take with them and use for the rest of their lives." This summer will be no exception.

Workshops dates and times and tuition prices vary. For more information and to reserve a spot in one of our workshops NOW, call the theatre at 661-799-2702. Becoming a part of the CTG Summer Youth Program holds the promise of an exciting and fulfilling summertime!
