Legacy High Students get a Head Start on Testing
For over two decades, Legacy Christian Academy has earned a stellar reputation for accelerated academic programs rooted in a culture that exalts Christ - so it's no surprise that Legacy High students are dramatically exceeding national standards on vital tests.
Only about 6 percent of high school freshmen take the PSAT 8/9, explains Legacy Dean of Academic Support Lynn Kistler, so Legacy students are able to get a head start on practicing for important tests like the SAT, ACT, and college entrance exams. The PSAT 8/9 is a great starting point for Legacy High students to get exposure to this style of questions and essays. This test also shows students' areas of strength and areas where more support may be needed, so Legacy High students and teachers can be intentional and specific as they practice and review for future exams. "Our goal is to provide our Legacy High students with as much rigorous preparation as possible so that they have a wide variety of options available to them after high school," says Kistler.
100 percent of Legacy High's current sophomores who took the test in ninth grade scored in the 90th percentile, or the top 10 percent of students nationwide. "We consider this a clear indication of the high academic rigor, instructional excellence and thorough preparation provided by our faculty and staff throughout the students' years at Legacy. We are incredibly proud of our students for their diligent work ethic and their meticulous pursuit of excellence," says the dean.

"If you are looking to get an agent for your child and for them to get the proper training to book acting roles, then look no further! Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts is a well-established school geared towards giving kids the skills and connections they need to flourish their acting career. Can you imagine that they have agents coming in every Saturday to the school to meet directly with the kids? We were hesitant to enroll since we live six hours away by car, but Michael convinced us to trust the process. We started with Zoom classes and flew in when we could to take some classes in person. Sonia immediately connected with all the teachers and started becoming more confident. The best part of our experience has been the incredible team: Mike, Cindy and Miriam. These three people are genuine and truly committed to your child's success. We had just missed an agent showcase the weekend prior and mentioned how that agency was our dream agency. Through their connection they got us an introduction with the agency and now we are represented by them! This agency quickly got us auditions and with the classes we were taking at SCSOPA we were able to make a few bookings immediately. It's been less than two months and we already have an agent, got a commercial booking, got a student film booking and submitted three self-tapes for TV shows and commercials! We couldn't have done any of this without SCSOPA!"

School Success Fueled by Individual Student Growth
SCVi Charter School opened nearly 15 years ago with a unique mission. Today, SCVi has grown to serve learners in grades TK-12 across the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond - and those learners continue to thrive.
What is that mission? What is the secret to SCVi's success? Very simply, it is the school's focus on individual growth. At SCVi, students are called "learners" because that is what they do; they learn. Families flock to the tuition-free, project-based learning school on the westside of Santa Clarita because of the school's focus on individual learner growth.
Every learner at SCVi is guided and assessed through an Individualized Learning Plan, setting goals at the beginning of the school year while determining benchmarks and an action plan to achieve their own unique goals. Learning at SCVi is as personalized and unique as every child they serve. If you are seeking a school that personalizes education for your child - next year or next semester, log on today.
