iLEAD Agua Dulce Learners Well Positioned for
College & Career with CTE Pathway
As colleges and employers transition toward a more comprehensive approach to admissions and job applications, iLEAD Agua Dulce graduates will be well positioned to confidently enter college and career. That's because at iLEAD Agua Dulce, all high schoolers will curate a digital portfolio that reflects growth and achievement of the school's learner outcomes as well as their own individual learning paths.
At iLEAD Agua Dulce, high schoolers will be invited to complete a Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathway to develop essential skills for success in college and career, including problem-solving, project completion, research, college application, communication, time management, critical thinking and more. Learners will experience work-based educational opportunities, hands-on projects on campus, internships, industry certifications and ongoing college and career exploration and counseling.
All iLEAD Agua Dulce high schoolers will take Entrepreneurship 101 in ninth grade and will have the option to continue the three-year pathway for completion in the Business and Entrepreneurship CTE pathway or to explore other CTE pathways, such as Agriculture, Child Development or Aerospace.
The TK-10th campus is fully accredited by WASC and offers tours to interested families.

The Master's University Helps Christians Answer Life's Biggest Questions
What does the Bible say about politics?
What should Christians believe about dinosaurs?
All believers must work through issues like these at some point in their lives. The Center for Thinking Biblically (CTB) was created to help people apply a biblical worldview as they strive to answer life's biggest questions.
CTB, a ministry of The Master's University, is a hub of short video lectures designed to help people understand the world through the lens of Scripture. Created by educators at TMU who have a passion for exalting Christ in all things, these free resources are designed to equip believers with a thoroughly biblical way of thinking about every aspect of life.
Dr. Abner Chou, president of TMU and a CTB contributor, says of the platform, "Our aspiration for the Center for Thinking Biblically is to be the trusted resource for the church that brings to bear the whole counsel of God's Word on any given topic or current event. That takes training in all of God's Word and its theology. That also demands the exercise of that absolute and universal truth over all things."

Fostering Youth Independence (FYI) Seeks "Allies"
Fostering Youth Independence (FYI) is on the lookout for "Allies" to support Santa Clarita youth who are aging out of the LA County foster care system. Allies provide invaluable support to these vulnerable youth, as each one is paired with a youth who they will help guide and encourage as they complete post-secondary education - a key to breaking the cycle of challenges faced by these youth. On March 7, a training session will be held for anyone interested in learning more about what being an FYI Ally entails. Those interested can email FYI's Volunteer Coordinator Darlene Allen at
dallen@fyifosteryouth.org.
Volunteer Allies have the unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of Santa Clarita's transition age foster youth - ages 16 to 25 - by providing support and helping them obtain needed resources. Allies also offer encouragement as their youth prepares to become successful, independent adults.
