iLEAD Exploration is a free public charter school program where each family is partnered with a credentialed teacher - called a facilitator - who assigns and creates a customized, individualized learning plan in conjunction with the learner and their family that's rooted in grade-level standards and inspired by the learner's passions.
The WASC-accredited independent study program offers personalized learning opportunities for TK through 12th graders who thrive with flexible options, field studies, service projects and more.
Students are supported with Learning Offerings, complimentary educational subscriptions, webinars, community-building and enrichment activities. Instructional funds are used to support and enhance each learner's individualized learning plan, too.
iLEAD Exploration values community and provides opportunities to foster friendships through park days and parent gatherings.

Legacy Christian Academy Literary Magazine Earns Excellent Rating from National Council for Teachers of English
The Lion Prints - a publication created by Legacy sixth, seventh and eighth grade learners who take the Academy's Literary Magazine course twice a week - was judged by the National Council for Teachers of English and earned an "Excellent" rating! Filled with student-crafted stories, poems, art and photography, The Lion Prints is released each spring.
"At The Lion Prints, we believe that writing and art can transform even the most challenging experiences and provide connection within our learning community," explains Team Advisors Kerry Fickett and Janelle Burkholder. (Legacy's Elementary Art and Graphic Design Teacher Heidi Keller, "takes all the work and makes it beautiful," explains Fickett and Burkholder.). "From the ground up we produce a magazine that not only showcases student ideas but also shapes them. This year we are exploring perception with our theme: Oft to See. We embrace the idea of Marcel Proust who noted that in life, 'the voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes,'" shares the teachers.

Mother-daughter Nonprofit Org Launches in the SCV
National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation's premier mother-daughter nonprofit organization, has announced the formation of the Santa Clarita Valley Chapter - and you may want to join! The Santa Clarita Valley Chapter is open to mothers and daughters who reside in the SCV. This chapter, combined with the existing chapters, brings the total number of NCL members in Southern California to over 16,800. Since June 2020, these members have contributed over 303,000 hours to their local communities in SoCal. In addition to participating in national philanthropic initiatives, the chapter's inaugural members will have the opportunity to choose which local organizations they will support through hands-on volunteer service hours. Daughters in seventh through 12th grade, known as Ticktockers, and their mothers, known as Patronesses, will together embark on a core program focused on philanthropy, strengthening mother-daughter relationships, cultural experiences and leadership opportunities. Pro Football Player & Hart High Alum Trenton Irwin Hosts Free Football Camp
Cincinnati Bengals wide-receiver Trenton Irwin, a graduate of Hart High, will be hosting his second-annual charity football camp on April 26 at College of the Canyons. While the camp is free for students and $5 for spectators, donations are encouraged and support Fostering Youth Independence. The SCV native is excited for the opportunity to give back to a community that gave him so much. The camp will be coached by other NFL, CFL and collegiate football talent, providing a unique, memorable experience to both participants and spectators. Camp activities will include drills, scrimmages, giveaways, snacks and special awards while allowing campers to interact with their favorite football players.
