5 Reasons we Love Cobblestone Cottage
in Celebration of their 25th Birthday
In honor of Cobblestone Cottage's 25th anniversary, we would like to share our Top 5 reasons why Cobblestone Cottage - and owner Kathy Allie and her staff - is beloved by Santa Clarita.

5. One word. Brighton. Actually, two. Add "addiction!"

4. Vera Bradley bags. Our college-age nieces steal them - which makes us feel cool!

3. Wrapping. You always make us look good. For free! Love that.

2. Trend setting. You know what we want before we want it. How do you do that?

1. Faith. Thank you for staying true to yours.

Visit this SCV mainstay and wish them a very happy birthday!

Put some Zip in their Summer
At some summer camps, the highlight of the day is getting to use glitter. At Valley Trails, your kids will share stories that have much more "zip." Valley Trails has renovated their zip line play on the 200-acre property. Now your adventurers will be able to zip from one hilltop to another on two connected ziplines (one is 500 feet; the other 400 feet!). If you haven't seen the Valley Trails campus - and the incredible ziplines - RSVP for their open house on Sunday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Valley Trails camp serves children in grades K through 10th. 257-0266

Tutoring Club Celebrates 20-year Anniversary
Celebrating its 20-year anniversary, the Tutoring Club mission of helping students of all ages find joy in learning continues. Programs like Rx Reading, Amazing Math and The Write Way target specific steps required to raise an individual student's academic level in just 32 hours of instruction. "We owe our success to two things," says Jerry Clark, owner of Tutoring Club of Valencia, "Tutoring Club's exclusive programs that guarantee student success and the dedication of our educated and caring tutors to the goal of seeing every child develop into a successful learner and college ready. We see parents becoming more and more proactive in their children's educational success and we're committed to continue our mission of helping each child reach their full learning potential." 702-9956

Q & A with Sean Poliseno
Father of Actor
Teagan Poliseno

Q: What are your reactions to your son's experience with the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts?

I am happy and amazed at how SCSOPA has jump started my son Teagan's acting career.

Q: What sets the program apart from others?
The school's curriculum and dedication has launched his attitude and motivation. He quickly was set up to feel confident enough to interview with the multiple agents the school put him in front of; had it not been for their agent's on-site weekly readings strategy we would have struggled to meet agents on our own.

Q: What kind of success has Teagan experienced?
Once signed he quickly was auditioning and it has averaged to more than one a week. After six months of being with SCSOPA he has already completed his first print job where he made $300 per hour and recently completed a national Honda commercial as a 12 year old. We cannot thank SCSOPA enough. We look forward to many more years of attending the school. He loves it at SCSOPA !
