"You don't Upsell Dental Care to Family"
"You don't upsell dental care to family" is one of the tenants of Dr. Marvin Tong's beloved Valencia office. The family-practice provider has created a caring space where patients deeply trust Dr. Tong and his team. "Upselling has never been part of our business practice," says the experienced dentist. "A lot of patients already have dental anxiety - I can't imagine trying to make more money off of their fear. Our goal is to keep you and your mouth healthy for life - and we'll always be direct with our clients about what they need to do to achieve that goal."

"Since she was a baby, Casey has loved the spotlight. She entertains the young and old everywhere she goes with her impersonations, funny facial expressions and dance moves. Casey began with roles in student production films and catalog modeling for a small local businesses in San Antonio, Texas, but she wanted more. So when we were given the opportunity to join Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts, we were all in. Since joining the school, we have seen so much growth in Casey. The office staff, Mike, Boston and Miriam really know the business and what they are doing to help set these kids up for success. Miriam is always guiding me in the right direction as this is all new to us; she has helped me file work permits and open the proper accounts, things I had no idea were necessary. Her coach Marina is hands down the best acting Coach we could have ever asked for; as an actress herself Marina is teaching Casey skills she couldn't learn anywhere else. Besides classes two days a week, Marina and Casey meet every Saturday morning for Agent Prep, go over agent material, discuss pitch, delivery, speed and even lighting to ensure she has the best possible audition and really stands out. With this advice, Casey has gotten several callbacks and is now working with a very reputable agency in LA. Thank you, SCSOPA, for offering this online program!"

Gilchrist Farm Summer Farm Camp Now Enrolling
Here's why you should jump at Gilchrist Farm's popular summer camp: outdoor, tech-free fun!
Your kiddo will practice horse care, grooming, riding - and then show off their new skills at the end-of-the-week horse show complete with ribbons and prizes. Campers will learn how to groom, tack up and ride horses or enhance their current riding expertise by trying something new, like English, Western, Driving, Mounted Archery and more.
Campers will also milk goats, gather eggs, pet pigs and bunnies, feed the ducks and tortoises and take the mini mule for a walk while learning about gardening, composting and raising your own food. They'll watch eggs hatch and learn to care for chicks, too.
Country arts and crafts will also captivate campers, including soap and candle making, leather working, rag doll making and woodworking. Low-tech, high-fun games are also on the to-do list, with milk jug bowling, horse shoes, corn hole, water balloon battles, tug o war, gunny sack races, water play, obstacle courses, a mud run and more. Log on to reserve your child's spot.

Leave your Mark on ALLBRiGHT's Paint-It-Forward Community Art at the 13th Annual KHTS Home & Garden Show April 27 & April 28
Get ready to leave your mark - as in, your painted handprint - at the KHTS Home & Garden Show on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. That's when ALLBRiGHT 1-800-PAINTING will be inviting the community to help them craft a massive community art installation in their booth to celebrate over $300,000 in local Paint-It-Forward donations and millions of dollars in national gives.
Kids, adults - even pets - will be able to coat their hands and paws in non-toxic paint and then leave their imprint on a huge canvas. "The goal is to communicate a simple truth," says Josh Abramson, ALLBRiGHT's owner and chief solutionist. "Everyone has had a hand in helping our company serve Santa Clarita residents and nonprofits with Paint-It-Forward. From the folks who nominate friends and organizations for Paint-It-Forward on our website, to the thousands of our neighbors who vote to help choose winners and our clients who support us so we can support others, it's truly a team effort."
Paint-It-Forward was started by ALLBRiGHT's Abramson over 18 years ago. Since its inception, Paint-It-Forward has donated over $300,000 in painting and repair services to SoCal organizations like Boys & Girls Club of San Fernando Valley, The Child & Family Center's Domestic Violence Safe House and many single-family homes owned by families in need. In 2022, Paint-It-Forward soared to national prominence when ALLBRiGHT partnered with the PCA (Painting Contractors Association) to spread the charity work across the United States. To date, Paint-It-Forward has donated millions in paint and labor to children's charities across the country.
To participate in the community art piece, visit ALLBRiGHT's booth at the KHTS Home & Garden Show, which runs Saturday, April 27 from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, April 28 from 10am to 4pm at Central Park.
