"Since I can remember, Leanna Mar has always been engaging, entertaining and has loved performing. Her fearless attitude has led her to opportunities that allow her to shine. Her interest in dancing, gymnastics, modeling and acting were apparent after her first daycare performance at 18 months, rocking out to the infamous 'Baby Shark' tune! It was a hoot and it has not stopped! We decided to visit the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts (SCSOPA). Since joining the school, we have seen Leanna blossom and grow in confidence. She did not get a call back the first time she ever auditioned for an agent, but that made her work and practice harder. A few months later, she auditioned again and secured a top-notch agency in LA. The staff at SCSOPA is incredible. Miriam in the front office is so attentive, helpful and supportive. Mike, the owner, and his wife, Cindy, are amazing, with so much experience in the industry!"

Make a Plan Now to "Use Up" your 2024 Dental Benefits
"If I had a dollar for every time a patient called in December wanting to 'use up' their dental benefits, I'd buy a beach house," jokes Becky Short, office manager for Dr. Tong, DDS. "The truth is, most dental offices are booked solid the last month of the year."
"It's very common for patients to call in December, hoping to get in before the end of the month. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to schedule them in even for a check up, let alone a treatment that might require follow up appointments," says the longtime dental pro. "That's why we encourage our patients to get on the schedule now, so that there's ample time to find an appointment that works with their calendar and allows room for any additional follow up appointments that they'll want to make to 'use up' their annual dental insurance benefits."
If you've delayed dental check ups and follow ups in 2024, now is the time to call your favorite dentist - because the last quarter of the year is a busy one. After all - who wants to try and fit a dental appointment into the already-wild time between Thanksgiving and New Year's!?
"We offer Saturday appointments so that it's easier for patients with a traditional 9-to-5 to get into the dental chair," says Short, "and we can help our patients determine when to schedule follow ups so that they get the most out of the insurance they're paying for."

Watch Age-Old Stories Unfold in the Journey of a Table
Local Award-winning Playwright Braddon Mendelson Presents Historical "Provenance"
Prepare for an enthralling journey through the ages as award-winning playwright Braddon Mendelson unveils his latest masterpiece, "Provenance." This intriguing play brings to life centuries-old tales imbued in the essence of a Louis VX handcrafted table, as guests trace its chain of custody across the ages and reveal profound connections to those whose paths it crossed.
When two roommates learn the identity of the artisan who crafted an 18th century French table de jeux (game table), playgoers travel backward through time to experience the stories of those who possessed it. From ordinary citizens to the rich and powerful, from presidents to prime ministers, their very essences coalesce into this beautiful objet d'art.
While the audience weaves its way through the continuum of stories, the mysterious cabinetmaker ponders the fate of his creation, wondering if its resilience and beauty will last over time. With Mendelson's trademark blend of history and humor, "Provenance" offers a thought-provoking exploration of the human connection we have to the things we possess.
Experience upcoming performances of "Provenance" in Santa Clarita September 13 through September 29.
