To our Valentine, with Love
Consider this your sweet reminder that Valentine's Day is a perfect excuse to send messages of warmth and appreciation to the people in your life - and your child's life - who make a difference. Grandparents, neighbors, teachers, military members, mail and package delivery pros... they'll all smile at your thoughtful gesture and you'll be teaching your kiddo that when love is shared, it grows.

Art Tree Community Arts Center Hosts Nest Healing Art Studio

Nest is a free program for teens and adults that consists of an hour of mindful, judgement-free art making. Mindfulness practices, both in meditation and in art, can help our ability to regulate our feelings, decrease stress and focus our attention. No art expertise needed. A project suggestion will be given, but is not required. Nest is developed under the direction of Emily Skelton, LMFT, registered art therapist, and is held every first Sunday of the month.

"I am incredibly thankful for the profound impact that SCSOPA has had on my daughter Emma Vargas's life. Since joining, she has transformed from a shy girl into a confident and outgoing young child, embracing her passion for acting with enthusiasm. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mike, the owner, who treats us like family and has always been there to support Emma, continuously encouraging her to pursue her dreams and reminding her to never give up. I am also deeply grateful to her teacher, Fred, whose guidance and mentorship has been instrumental in shaping her skills as an actress. He has a unique ability to bring out the best in each student, helping them to discover their potential and build their confidence. The entire staff at the school is not only kind and respectful but also genuinely supportive of every student, creating an uplifting environment that fosters growth and creativity. My daughter is happier than ever, and her hard work is paying off; she already has a fantastic agency and manager who are eager to help her land roles soon!"
