An essential element of mediation is confidentiality. The legislature has designed specific mediation confidentiality rules to promote a candid and informal exchange regarding events. This frank exchange is achieved only if all participants know that what is said in the mediation will not be used to their detriment through later court proceedings. What does all this mean for you? All participants alike are prohibited from revealing any written or oral communication made during mediation, including whether an agreement was reached or not. So go ahead - take advantage of this quick, simple and economical means of resolving disputes.

There's Still Time to "Name that Cupcake!"
Babe's Dessert Bar is known for their specialty stuffed cupcakes, and now it's your turn to play the role of cupcake guru. Families, kids and singles are encouraged to channel their inner sweet tooth and devise a new cupcake combination - and then name it!
Cupcakes will be taste tested and the winning entry will become a permanent fixture on the menu. The winner will receive a dozen of "their" cupcakes, plus they'll be featured in the store and in an issue of Inside SCV Magazine.
