More than half of 2016 has gone by - and I'm not doing too well on the New Year's Resolution front.
Sure, I exercised more this year (One run in 2016 is better than none in 2015!), but that's about it. "Spend more time with family; make time for 'me'; learn a new sport; schedule date nights; and get fit" are still on the to-do list. As I was lamenting about my failures to a friend, her hubby interrupted with this: "Sounds like someone needs a membership to The Paseo Club."
Ugh. I hate when he's right. (Thankfully, it's a rare occurrence.).
I've been watching their family enjoy their Paseo Club membership for two years now - and I mean that quite literally. It seems like three-quarters of their Facebook posts are photos of them or the kids enjoying the pool, classes and events.
Here's what I've learned from my cyberstalking (Err... "internet research."): The Paseo Club is everything you need it to be, all wrapped up with a resort-like ambience. Here are the highlights.
Out on the Town
The Paseo Club's social lineup includes regular weekly events (Like their fab Happy Hour where drinks and apps are deeply discounted!), as well as fantastic events perfect for date nights and family fun. The list is long and ranges from barbeques and poker nights to dive-in movies, brunches, wine tastings and so much more.
"Love" Tennis
The Paseo Club is known for exceptional tennis instructors and competitive games and tournaments, but there's a lighter side, too. Doubles Round Robins (Sign up with a partner or let them pair you to meet someone new!) and even Junior Drill and Movie Nights ensure that the whole family smiles even more often than they score.
Fab Fitness
Here's the kick in the pants I need to (finally) meet my fitness goals: Paseo Club's 70-plus weekly group exercise classes. With a wide range of times and classes (Body Pump! Mat Pilates! Treadmill Training!), I'll never be bored. (And I'll have that sense of accountability that comes with the help of highly-qualified instructors.). Bonus: My children can also up their fitness levels with junior boot camp and ZumbAtomic for kids ages 7 to 13. Teens, too, will be thrilled to discover two new Paseo group workouts: "Strength" for boys ages 14 to 18 will teach correct lifting form and technique and "HIIT" - for girls ages 14 to 18 - will help them tone up quick with 30-minute classes focused on full-body movement, balance, core training, agility and strength.
Get your Swim On
My favorite Paseo Club stat: 82 degrees. That's the temp of their gorgeous, 25-yard pool that's six lanes wide and is complemented by a Jacuzzi for the adults and a baby pool for the toddlers. The area surrounding the outdoor swimming pool is pristine and gives the ambiance of a five-star resort in a family-friendly atmosphere. Whether members are looking for a place to relax in the sun or to get some lap swimming in, the pool area is one of the most calming spots in the SCV.
Spa-tacular
The Paseo Club's spa is where I want my "me" time! Located in the Club's new Fitness & Spa Center on the lower level, you'll find everything from massages to European facials and acupuncture at this deliciously-relaxing spot. The hubby and I can't wait to take full advantage of the men's and women's saunas.
Family Time
Besides poolside family bonding over dinner, Paseo boasts tons of holiday events and more for families. If you're looking to connect with your kids, the search is over. Right now, everyone's talking about the fall carnival, adult Halloween party, holiday boutique, kids seasonal activities and more.
The Paseo Club is the Place for Private Events
Besides being the best for fitness and social experiences, The Paseo Club can also accommodate your reception, holiday party or special event. Take advantage of their delicious catering options, expansive facility, luxurious amenities and five-star staff. Call today to reserve your date.
