"Bringing the elements of nature indoors, these wall pebbles feature solid tamarind wood with spalting details in a natural blonde finish. A shape-centric statement piece commands attention in the center of the room while blonde yukas woods are blended and smoothed for a soft look rich with innate depth," explains designer Melissa Diaz. "Our clients wanted a ton of family pictures displayed. This gallery wall was like creating a family tree," she shares. Mixed reclaimed woods fashion a modern console for an open look with organic vibes.
"Our clients wanted a casual, organic modern vibe," explains Melissa Diaz, owner of Stunningly Staged Homes and the SSH Shop. "A young family with a child, they had just bought the house and wanted to make it theirs."
The sofa has a cocoa-finished parawood base with deep seating and performance-grade upholstery in an invitingly neutral taupe. "This large, round ottoman of textural cream boucle can be placed just about anywhere, bringing with it a hip retro vibe. It is a great piece with soft edges for the young kids in the family," explains Diaz. "Above the sofa, we showcased individual sage branches printed in a watercolor style. This dining room is not your typical formal dining space - it is casual, inviting and still stunningly designed."
"We wanted to bring in materials that would last in a busy home while still being stylish and cozy," explains the designer.
"This custom-designed wall was intended to be a statement piece in the room," shares Diaz. "The speckled custom bedding and pillows are 'elegant and classy meet cosmopolitan flair." The modern dresser in a natural ash veneer with satin brass handles has a sleek, timeless design with plenty of storage in drawers and underneath.
"The client wanted a neutral palette with tons of color throughout the home in artwork, pillows, rugs and tiles. We leaned into the accessories available from our SSH Shop to accomplish that," says Diaz.
Matte ceramic Arashi Blue wall tiles - laid in a horizontal pattern - elongate the bathroom. It's all topped off with polished nickel mirrors with corner cut-outs that create an interesting, complementary design.
"We designed and remodeled two bathrooms and furnished the entryway, living room, family room and primary bedroom, bringing in the slight pop of color our clients wanted," she explains.
