The Lumbar Pillow
The Lumbar is rectangular in shape and designed to nestle nicely at the level of your lower back.

The Bolster Pillow
Cylindrical in shape and available in many sizes, the bolster pillow can have flat or tied ends. These pillows are often referred to as "neck rolls."

The Box Pillow
Made with flat sides, the box pillow resembles a cushion and can, in a crutch, serve as one.

The Flange Pillow
This puffy piece has a flat band of fabric at its edges, called a flange.

The Corded or Welted Pillow
Pillows with decorative cords or welting at the seams can include multiple fabric variations; when the welt is constructed out of the same fabric as the body of the pillow, it's called a "self welt."

The Knife Edge Pillow
A basic pillow with two pieces of material sewn together at the edges, a Knife pillow can be made into any shape.
