"Kathy Bost is the best realtor we have ever encountered in our 33 years of buying and selling real estate. She sold our last house fast to a very difficult buyer. She kept EVERY PROMISE she made to us and then some. She knows both Santa Clarita's real estate market history as well as future market trends. We would call on Kathy again to sell our next house, even though we moved out of Santa Clarita. This review may sound over the top, but that is exactly the kind of service Kathy gave us, 'over the top!'"

Homes are emotional places. For better and for worse, they're a symbol of our financial status, our family makeup and our personality traits. So what happens when your home no longer fits one or more of those qualities - but you're not ready to let go and move on? (As in: Move out!).

Thank the Space
We learned from Netflix (Thanks, Marie!) that the best way to let go of possessions that no longer are needed is to thank them before releasing them. Walk through your home, feeling all the feels - then thank it for being there for you and the people you love. It sounds hokey to a lot of us, but you're ending a relationship - you need closure! (The house, on the other hand, is already over you and is probably DMing potential residents on Zillow as we type.).

Capture Memories
You could take one last family photo - or you could pay a handyman to remove that moulding panel that you marked your kids' heights on for the last 15 years. Whatever it takes!

Get Uncomfortable
There's probably some really good reasons you're moving from what was once a perfect fit. Did you outgrow the space? Remember how it feels when you have to use the restroom - and they're all occupied. Then think about what a relief - in this case, we mean that literally - it will be to have a bigger home with more bathrooms.

Start Dreaming
Can you recall how easy it was to get over your big high school crush when they were replaced with your next big high school crush? Yup. We're suggesting that you emotionally cheat on your current home by cyberstalking your next potential real estate hook up. If you're only recently considering a move, think of this as the equivalent of joining an online dating app - just to see what's out there, of course. And, if you just so happen to match, it was fate!
