The presumption that "custom" means "out of most price ranges" is false - at least when you know where to shop. Choose from hundreds of fabrics (Including pet- and kid-friendly options!) and dozens of styles for furniture that looks like you broke the bank. (The fact that you didn't is our little secret.).

August SCV Gardening Classes Focus on Maintenance and Planning
Summer may be winding down in other parts of the country, but Southern California's summer heatwave trudges on. Although our hot weather typically spans several months, August is the right time to focus on landscape maintenance and project planning. SCV Water has two free monthly gardening classes in August that will give you techniques to maintain your turf - even in the heat. You'll also learn to design a project plan, so when fall finally arrives, you'll be ready to tackle your landscaping!
Whether you have a blank slate or a landscape in need of a makeover, learn how to "Design a Sustainable Landscape." You'll discover how to incorporate sustainable gardening concepts in your project. You'll also find that you can preserve natural resources, be water-wise, and still have a landscape that meets your needs.
Do you want your lawn to look its best? Come to "Proper Turf Care and Turf Substitutes" to learn techniques to maintain your turf and help it thrive. You may even improve your landscape's water efficiency! Or, if you're looking for some ideas for turf substitutes, they've got that covered, too.
All classes are held at SCV Water, located at 27234 Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. To register and to see a complete list of classes for 2019, log on. yourscvwater.com
DID YOU KNOW?
Most cleaning solutions contain solvents or acids that jeopardize the integrity of your stone surfaces, causing stains and removing layers of natural stone. To avoid damage, don't... use your dish sponge to clean your counters; wipe spills off your surfaces; use vinegars to clean stone; apply baking soda, bleach, ammonia or degreasers on stains. So, what do you do? Pat the spill with a clean towel until most of the liquid has been absorbed, then rinse with clean water. For especially-tough messes, use hot water and a water-based stone cleaning solution.
