Do You Know what Psychrometrics Is?
If you own or rent a home, you should - because you have a one in 50 chance of filing a water-damage claim this year. "Psychrometrics is the science of drying," explains Paul Davis Restoration of Santa Clarita Co-owner Joel Moss. "Our team has invested a great deal of training and practice to know what works best when it comes to selecting the right approach, equipment type and technique for every type of water damage."
The SCV-based Paul Davis Restoration team accommodates each client's unique combination of variables, evaluating the source - from Category 1 clean flood water to Category 3 "black" contaminated water. "We work quickly, 24/7, to contain the spread of moisture and apply appropriate state-of-the-art solutions ranging from pro-grade high-volume air-movers to disinfectants and engineering controls to prevent cross contamination," explains Moss.

The certified IICRC technicians at Paul Davis utilize industry-leading tools, such as infrared camera technology and invasive and non-invasive moisture-metering systems to pinpoint exactly where drying is needed - including concealed areas like within walls and heating ducts. "We leave no inch unexamined; water damage can quickly become mold and mildew damage when not handled correctly - and that can pose huge health hazards for our clients and their families," shares Moss.

Psychrometrics is a complicated topic that requires study, research and practice to master. If you need a team that has a proven expertise in the "science of drying," reach Paul Davis Restoration at first sign of water damage.
